Leek Tournament Under 12s

Buxton under 12s attended their first tournament of the season and were a little apprehensive as they had only played under 10s tournaments until now. Arriving in leek bright and early ready to try our luck. Due to a few of our previous players playing football we took just seven players but what players they were!!! GK _ Jed Burton, Defence was Daniel Doughty, James Ralph, Midfield was Tomas Desmond, Charlie Adkins and Charlie Pearson with Edward Hazelhurst upfront. All games 10mins each way.

First Game Ashbourne 2s V Buxton Score 1 – 4 Scorers Ed Hazelhurst 3 , Tomas Desmond, 1 Charlie P 2 assists.

Second Game. Leek Girls under 12 v Buxton Score 0 – 9 Scorers Charlie P 2, Charlie A 2, Tomas d 1, and Ed H 4.
Some fantastic hockey played and another great result.

Third Game Derwent V Buxton Score 0 – 3 scorers Ed H 2, Charlie P 1 this was the game the lads were most
worried about as they had been beaten by Derwent in the past but Buxton played great hockey passing and moving and got the result.

Fourth and final game Ashbourne 1s v Buxton Score 0 – 6 Scorers Ed H 3, Charlie P 2, James R 1. Our last game
and although very tired they all played out of their skins. Very proud as their manager to take these lads to the
tournaments they listen learn then put into practice.

The future is very bright for this bunch and they were also praised by the other coaches/managers on how well they play as a team.
